056 - Accidental Video

[prodigalvampire]

The video feed flickers on as Thomas is staring, fear filling his face, into the mirror in the restroom. The clutter around him is obvious, but he’s never been known as a clean freak, especially when he isn’t doing too well emotionally. It isn’t quite clear what’s reflected in the mirror, except that it’s quite obviously not a reflection of the room around him.

“No,” he says to the mirror. “You won’t win. Not today.”

A haunted, melodious laugh, much like perfectly tuned funeral bells, echoes through the room, and a voice filled with malice and an unearthly beauty speaks. “Today, Thomas, you are wrong.”

Thomas looks floored, and the fear in his expression increases. Suddenly, and without warning, an inhuman arm issues forth from the mirror, takes firm hold of Thomas’ shirt collar, and pulls him through the mirror. He’s gone in an instant. The creature that replaces him, looking back into the mirror with a demonically malicious grin upon it’s face if humanoid, and though it’s shoulders are covered with shining, white skin, it’s mouth filled with razor-sharp fangs, it’s beautiful in it’s form. Vaguely Thomas’ size, raven hair flowing down it’s back in cascading curls, it shimmers with other-worldly power.

It’s voice is the tinkling of a thousand chimes clotted with blood.

“Today is my day, Thomas. Farewell.”

The video ends.
